Wednesday, 7 August 2024 ------------------------ Hello. All is well. God is love. Yesterday, I wrote mimetic theory when I was actually referring to memetics. I'm not that interested in these theories themselves. I was more interested in illustrating how degeneracy is common in nature. Why am I interested in this degeneracy thingy? It has helped me reframe my brain and significantly improve my agency. Degeneracy is a good principle for your practical life and moral compass. That sounds funny and preposterous because its dictionary definition is the opposite of morality. That's different from what I'm talking about, though, as you know. My brain has been obsessed with order. That's why I wrote in a previous writing that I didn't like creative endeavours, specifically the more visual artistic type because there's no right way. Degeneracy is the middle ground between order and chaos. Nature is open-ended, and it shows that you don't have to get lost in chaos by letting go of order. Degeneracy produces resilient systems. We should allow for more open-ended systems to find a balance between productivity and resilience. Degeneracy is godly chaos. It allows for a resilient, self-organising, open-ended expanding system. How do we do this on a personal level? I'm still trying to figure it out, but that's the funny thing and what makes life exciting. One must let go of absolutes. One must listen to intuition, go more with the flow, and not worry about not getting it right. You try to see what works. By adopting this principle, my quality of life has exponentially improved. That is apparent from my writing. It's okay to get it wrong. It's okay not to be perfect. The more you align with nature, the more you'll experience flow and exist in the present with godly agency. I have decided to avoid any religious dogma, especially any that involves guilting or dehumanising us. I believe these are concepts that limit your ability to progress. They increase complexity yet reduce plasticity or self-organisation.
